SIGNATURE PROGRAMS
AAUW Start Smart and Work Smart Salary Negotiation Workshops empower college women who are starting their careers to overcome the gender wage gap and teach them to benchmark and negotiate for fair and equitable salaries upon graduation. Each workshop is two and a half hours long and gives participants resources for benchmarking reasonable salaries and benefits, negotiation skills that teach women how to aim high and be realistic including practice through role play.
The AMPLIFY | Women's Mentoring Circle is a collaboration between the Women's Resource Center and the Aggie Women Network, a Constituent Network of The Association of Former Students. AMPLIFY provides Texas A&M University students access to Aggie women whose professional and personal accomplishments align with the student’s ambitions. These connections help mentees build career relationships. Mentors gain the opportunity to remain connected to the University and give back to the next generation of Aggie women.
The Aggie Women Win Conference encourages and trains college women to run for student government and future political office. During this one-day training, participants practice hands-on campaign skills, hear from inspiring speakers, and discuss research on women in government.
We are excited to gather in community to discuss some awesome women authors. In Her Own Words provides a space to read about the many experiences of women and gather in community to discuss the dynamic characters, mystical settings, and thrilling plots we read about. Keep an eye on our social media to vote for the next book selection.
The WRC Book Club will take place in June-July and December-January. Anyone affiliated with the university is welcome to participate.
The Women's Resource Center puts together several initiatives for pregnant and parenting students including the Breastfeeding Welcomed Here Campaign, the Little Aggie, and a list of campus resources and student rights.
March is Women's History Month. In addition to the programs that the Women's Resource Center hosts in conjunction with its partners, the Center shares programs celebrating women via social media and their newsletter.

Held annually on the First Thursday in September, the Women’s Leadership Reception celebrates these distinguished women, honoring their impact. Attendees hear from female student leaders as well as prominent campus leaders. The Leadership Reception is a collaborative effort between the Aggie Women Network, the Texas A&M University Women's Resource Center and the Messina Hof Winery & Resort.
The Women's Progress Awards have been honoring Texas A&M University students, staff, faculty, and administrators who encourage and promote sensitivity to and awareness of issues that relate to women since 1994.
