The Battalion
The Battalion has served as Texas A&M’s student newspaper since 1893. As a weekly newspaper and online platform, The Battalion delivers fair and accurate coverage of campus news and a forum for student expression — training student journalists through high standards, quality storytelling, and real-world content creation.

Aggie Orientation Leaders welcome new undergraduate Aggies during New Student Conferences, introducing them to campus life, traditions, and key resources. Through this role, orientation leaders build relationships, develop leadership skills, and make a lasting impact on new Aggies’ first experiences.

GPSG is made up of graduate student representatives who lead legislative initiatives, represent graduate student needs in divisional committees, and organize social and networking events. Senate meetings are open to the public — held on the first and third Tuesdays from 5:30–7 p.m. in Koldus 144. Come join us.

Maroon Life is a feature magazine that digs deeper into the people, places, and initiatives shaping campus and community life. It trains students in persuasive storytelling, photojournalism, and design — preparing them for careers in journalism, communications, advertising, and related fields.

A dedicated team of student leaders provides live translation of family sessions during New Student Conferences and translates printed and virtual resources for incoming students’ family members who prefer to receive information in Spanish.

The Parents of the Year (POY) program has recognized the dedication and involvement of Aggie family members since 1956. Families selected as Parents of the Year are honored during Family Weekend, POY reunion events, and other campus activities.

We offer students the opportunity to work with our Alcohol and Other Drug Education and Interpersonal Violence Prevention programs, gaining hands-on experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating programming. Internships offer a broader experience; practicums are project-specific. All internships are unpaid.

21st Birthday Card
On August 3rd, 1999, an Aggie was lost on his 21st birthday to alcohol poisoning, from one night of celebratory drinking. During the week of their 21st birthday, every Aggie receives our 21st Birthday Card email, reminding students to celebrate responsibly. When you receive yours, share the message with your peers to promote responsible and safe choices.
Campus Ministry Association
The Campus Ministry Association (CMA) is a voluntary organization of clergy who provide pastoral care for the students at Texas A&M. Campus Ministers are located off campus in their respective places of worship. Many of these are within walking distance of the campus, others provide bus service. Specific information is available by reviewing the website for each Ministry.

Student Life provides numerous presentation options relating to substance misuse and violence prevention, around topics such as alcohol, vaping, consent, healthy relationships, and more. Texas A&M students and colleagues request presentations for classrooms, student organization meetings, department meetings, conferences, and professional development trainings.
