Student Life hosts violence prevention training to Texas A&M faculty and staff through open sessions and by request. This includes Green Dot Bystander Intervention and STAND Up Trauma-Informed Care.
Open Sessions
Virtual Overview
Aims to impart foundational knowledge and skills. If your goal is to become a trained ally in either Green Dot or STAND Up, we recommend attending one of our comprehensive workshops. Alternatively, you can request a Green Dot Training or STAND Up Training for your department.
All faculty or staff members at Texas A&M, including graduate and professional students serving in an advisory role, are eligible to register. Participants have the option to attend either the Green Dot virtual overview, the STAND Up virtual overview, or both.
Full Workshop
The in-person workshop for faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students includes the full, 3.5-hour Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training and the full, 3.5-hour STAND Up Trauma-Informed Care Training. Participants who attend one or both trainings become designated as trained allies who are prepared to have conversations about the prevention of and response to power-based personal violence.
