STEP IN. STAND UP WORKSHOP
Step In Stand Up Mini Sessions: Virtual Overviews
Each semester, the Office of Health Promotion hosts one virtual Step In Stand Up Mini Session. The Mini Session provides basic knowledge and skill on how to step in to stop acts of power-based personal violence with a Green Dot Bystander Intervention virtual overview, and how to stand up to support survivors through a STAND Up Trauma-Informed Care virtual overview.
- Note: The Mini Sessions are intended to only provide foundational knowledge and skill, especially for those who have busier schedules, would like information earlier than when the full Workshop is offered, or have attended a full Workshop and would like a refresher on the information. If you are looking to become a trained ally in either Green Dot or STAND Up, please attend one of our Step In Stand Up Workshops (see information below) or request a Green Dot Training or STAND Up Training for your department.
- If this date does not work for you, consider requesting a Green Dot or STAND Up Overview for your department or group. We can bring the content to you, either virtually or in-person!
Any Texas A&M faculty or staff member, including graduate & professional students who serve in an advisory capacity, may register to attend using the form at the bottom of this page. Participants may choose to attend only the Green Dot virtual overview, only the STAND Up virtual overview, or both.
The next Step In Stand Up Mini Session will be hosted in October:

Step In Stand Up Workshop
In-person Step In Stand Up Workshops for faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students are hosted every August, December, and May. The Step In Stand Up Workshop is a free professional development opportunity that includes the full, 3.5-hour Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training and the full, 3.5-hour STAND Up Trauma-Informed Care Training. Participants who attend one or both of these trainings become designated as trained allies who are prepared to have conversations about the prevention of and response to power-based personal violence.
