Aggies Choose encourages students to make decisions that reflect their values and the kind of Aggie they want to be.

College is full of opportunities, traditions, and social experiences, and every student navigates them differently. Aggies Choose exists to remind students that there is no one “right” way to be an Aggie. Whether someone chooses to drink alcohol or not, they can still fully participate in the Aggie experience, build meaningful relationships, and create memories that matter.

The campaign promotes a culture where students feel confident making their own choices, respect the choices of others, and stay grounded in the Aggie Core Values.

Aggies Choose was created in 2025 thanks to grant funding from Great Plays, a partnership between the International Town & Gown Association (ITGA) and Molson Coors.

Focus Areas

Core Values in Action

Being an Aggie is about more than traditions; it’s about how we treat others and the choices we make every day. Aggies Choose encourages students to think about how Respect, Excellence, Loyalty, Leadership, Integrity, and Selfless Service show up in their lives, both in social settings and beyond.

Choosing for Yourself

Students often encounter pressure (real or perceived) to fit in or do what everyone else seems to be doing. Aggies Choose encourages students to make decisions based on their own values, goals, and comfort level instead of outside expectations.

Redefining What It Means to Belong

Aggies Choose challenges the idea that alcohol is a requirement for connection, celebration, or participation in Aggie traditions. There are countless ways to be involved, make friends, and enjoy college life, and none of them depend on drinking.

Respecting Different Choices

Whether a student chooses to drink, chooses not to drink, or is still figuring out what is right for them, Aggies Choose promotes a culture of mutual respect and support.
