AGGIE ORIENTATION LEADER PROGRAM
Igniting the Aggie Spirit, one conference at a time.
Orientation Team Leaders (OTLs) are a select group of the most outstanding Orientation Leaders (OLs) who are selected to be part of the 2019 - 2020 Orientation Leadership Team. The 6 orientation team leaders will work collaboratively to support the learning and development of the orientation staff, support the goals and values of the Office of New Student & Family Programs, serve as a peer mentor and role model to OLs, and help communicate the standards of programmatic operation. OTLs have specific responsibilities to mentor, guide, and motivate up to 70 OLs throughout their training and development in the spring semester and summer NSCs. Orientation Team Leaders will be involved in the discussion of major components of the NSC program. As role models to new staff members, OTLs must understand that their attitude and outlook on all aspects of the experience affects the attitudes of their fellow Orientation Leaders. They should use their unique perspective as a returning leader to assist others in the learning and team process.
