I am Beautiful:
I am Beautiful is a presentation that encourages students to reflect on the factors which lead to their own definition of beauty; how media, peer influence, family, and advertising influence perceptions of beauty; and how concepts of beauty change over time and by culture.
This presentation will give participants easy to use tools to assess their personal safety in different situations, clarify common strategies used by assailants to find and isolate their target, and provide an opportunity for students to practice assessing their safety in different scenarios.
This presentation illustrated the different behaviors that can be seen in healthy and unhealthy relationships, gives participants basic skills to determine if they or someone they love is in an unhealthy relationship, and resources for individuals in unhealthy relationships.
This presentation is designed to help participants understand what sexual assault is, how to help someone who has been sexually assaulted, and learn what resources are available at the university and in the Bryan/College Station community.
The Women's Resource Center can develop presentations on a variety of topics related to women's leadership, sexual violence, partner violence, and stalking. If you are requesting a custom presentation, please allow the Women's Resource Center staff at least one month to research and develop your presentation.
