Health Promotion provides enriching internship & practicum opportunities to highly motivated, dependable students right here on campus! Students will work alongside Health Promotion Specialists to provide awareness and skill-building that encourages responsible, healthy decisions among college students; foster student engagement to achieve optimal health and academic achievement; and serve as a health and wellness resource for the Texas A&M University community. Internships and Practicums can consist of focusing on a specific project, or a more general learning experience.
Internships
Individuals interested in pursuing an internship or practicum experience with Health Promotion must be currently enrolled University students seeking credit hours for the internship/practicum. There is no requirement to seek academic credit, however, many students seek academic credit as part of this experience. If you are interested in obtaining course credit for your internship or practicum, you are expected to work with with your program coordinator or academic advisor to confirm requirements of the internship. Schedules and hours will vary based on the academic requirements being sought, and the project details. Most students work approximately 10-20 hours per week. All internships/practicums are unpaid unless otherwise stated. Internship/practicum spots are limited and based upon availability each semester.
