Student records released to university personnel and/or offices are restricted to use by that person and/or office and must not be released outside the university.

  • Do not make copies or any other type of reproduction of contact lists.

  • Do not share or give your contact lists to anyone other than the FACT coordinator.

  • Upon completion of your FACT contacts, return all contact lists to the FACT coordinator no later than November 2, 2007.

In interactions with new students, you shall:

  • Model and actively encourage ethical and responsible behavior.

  • Respect confidentiality..

In the event that a new student has a question or concern outside the realm of your understanding, knowledge, or area of expertise, refer him or her to the appropriate resource.

If you choose to use Facebook to contact students:

  • Your profile (including all profile information, photos and wall posts) will be visible to those receiving messages from you, and should reflect the upstanding values of Texas A&M.

  • Remove any questionable content (including but not limited to obscenities, references or images of drugs/alcohol or drug/alcohol consumption) from your Facebook account OR create a new account and profile before sending messages to new students.
