You do of course have to choose to not bee a good neighbor, but if you do, you run the risk of having conflict between you and your neighbor, and possible problems with the city.

If you are under 21, it is illegal for you to operate a vehicle in a public place with any detectable amount of alcohol in your system or on your breath.  There is no requirement for any type of sobriety testing.  If you are under 21, here's what happens when you are stopped for drinking and driving:

20-40 hours of community service
up to $590.00 Fine
mandatory attendance in alcohol awareness class
Second Offense 365-day driver's license suspension
40-60 hours of community service
up to $560.00 Fine
judges discretion on awareness class
Disorderly-Conduct-Noise Violations

Noise citations are issued to every resident within the household.  If necessary, officers will respond on a follow-up basis to issue noise citations.

First Offense $395.00
Second Offense $565.00
Third Offense $565.00
After Third Offense Class B Misdemeanor in County Court

Property Owners and property managers will be notified of all noise and alcohol violations occurring on their property.  Property owners will have to make decisions on handling these violations.  If violations of the Texas Penal Code and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code continue, the Texas Nuisance Abatement statute may be enforced.  The action can result in civil litigation for property owners.
