Aggieland Market is a one day community-to-campus connection for students, faculty, staff and area businesses at the beginning of the Fall semester. On the Friday of Gig 'Em Week (Aggieland's Week of Welcome), approximately 80 businesses come to campus to promote their services and to sell goods. You can pick up coupons, buy food, learn about new technologies, and much more. Looking for a new hair salon or trying to find out where to get your car serviced before you head home? This can all be answered in one visit.

The Aggie Up! Campaign is a cooperative campaign between Texas A&M University and the Cities of Bryan and College Station to help integrate students into community and neighborhood living in a respectful and safe manner so their Aggie experience will be positive both on and off-campus. The Texas A&M Offices of the Dean of Student Life, Off Campus Aggies, College Station Police, College Station Fire Department, College Station Code Enforcement, Neighborhood Services and Community Relations Office, and the Bryan Police Department Neighborhood Enforcement Team collaborate on various community outreach projects. The Aggie Up Campaign is an effort to bring all the programs and services under one umbrella that are working to give students the information and education that they need to become fully integrated citizens of Bryan and College Station while they live here.

Graduate Student Wine Tasting, sponsored by The Association of Former Students, the Graduate Student Council, the Office of Graduate Studies and Adult, Graduate and Off Campus Student Services, is an annual event held at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center in Flores Hall. Each year the event welcomes 250 graduate students and provides them with the opportunity to learn about wine selection, taste the flavors of a highlighted vineyard and socialize with other grads. Registration is open to grad students currently enrolled in levels G6, G7, G8 or V1-V4.
The Housing Fair is an annual event that takes place each spring semester. It is an opportunity for you to do one-stop shopping for a new place to live. Each February, 50+ leasing agencies and apartment complexes reserve tables in the Memorial Student Center to provide detailed information to students and parents looking for information about living off campus. Local community services, such as the Bryan/College Station police departments and recycling, and university departments, such as Transportation Services and Dining Services, also sponsor booths to provide valuable information for you as an off campus student.
Every year during the first week of November, universities around the nation unite to show appreciation for the contributions that non-traditional students make to their respective campuses. This year Non-Traditional Student Appreciation Week will take place November 7th-11th.
Faculty, staff, and fellow Aggie students have an opportunity to recognize hard working and dedicated non-traditional students that are part of the Texas A&M community. A non-traditional student is defined as any student who has life experiences that create a non-traditional collegiate experience, including any of the following: over age 25, married or partnered, having children, a veteran of a branch of the Armed Services, a student who works full-time, or a student who is enrolled part-time. Texas A&M enrolls over 7,000 non-traditional students.
The Office of Adult, Graduate, and Off Campus Student Services is excited about celebrating the work of these non-traditional students and encourages you to make a special effort this week to recognize the non-traditional students you are in contact with. If you have any questions, please contact Adult, Graduate and Off Campus Student Services at 845-1741.
The Marketing Package offers several opportunities for properties to publicize their housing options. The property will be added into AGOSS publications, allowed to keep brochures in our office for student use and list their property in AggieSearch. Purchasing the Marketing Package also enables properties to purchase graphical ads in the Off Campus Survival Manual and register for the 2010 Housing Fair.
Student Research Week (SRW) is the signature program of the Graduate Student Council. SRW occurs the last week of March and is the largest student-run research competition in the United States. SRW is designed to highlight student research at both the undergraduate and graduate level through both poster and oral presentations. Faculty and staff from across the institution volunteer to judge presentations that are clustered based on specific research taxonomies. Prizes are awarded at several levels throughout the week-long competition. Keynote speakers and special panels offer highlighted information based on each year's topical theme.
The Neighborhood Walk and Talk Program has been designed as an educational opportunity for our students living in residential areas. The walks occur during the first few weeks of the fall and spring semesters. The purpose of the Walk and Talk is to distribute information to the residents of that neighborhood about what it means to be a good neighbor. Items distributed can include information on code violations and enforcement, community standards, who to call in an emergency, and other safety information. Neighborhoods are selected based on accumulated data, safety and general code violations issued, along with the number of rental property or owner occupied rental property in the neighborhood.
