If you are concerned about someone close to you that may have a problem with alcohol and/or other drugs, you should contact Alcohol and Drug Education Programs to determine how best to handle the situation. Some signs that someone may be engaging in high risk behavior on a regular basis are included below:
- Conversations amongst students about "the group drunk"
- Stacks of beer cans in room or other numerous alcohol containers
- Trash can is half full of alcohol containers
- Odor of alcohol on the same person on numerous occassions
- Grades, Class Attendance, and Studying noticeably decrease
- Person goes out on week nights and returns intoxicated or high
- Sleeps in late - missing early classes or work
- Brags about drinking games and/or level of tolerance
- Belligerence when confronted about alcohol and/or other drugs
- Extreme weight loss
- Extreme change of routine
- Dramatic change in mood
