Tips on Saying No

Aggie Dunking Ring in DonutThe truth is, not everyone at Texas A&M drinks.

In the spring of 2002, 38% of Aggies said they drank two times or less over a 30 day time period. For freshman that number increased to 56%. Though you know that not everyone is drinking, sometimes you might feel like you are the only one who is not. You may feel pressure to drink and may not be sure what to say when someone offers you a drink. Here are some good lines to use.

"No thanks, I'm serving as the designated driver."
"That's okay, I have a big test tomorrow and I need to study when I get home."
"I'm on medication right now and I can't drink any alcohol with it."
